Summer Scenes

Since the summer has ended, I wanted to share some of my favorite photos from the last few months. I know there is a lot but hey, I just like to share for those who are willing to look through them or who might enjoy them! So thank you for getting even this far!

Anyways, these photos were captured during a few of our getaways/outings we were able to take this summer! Still loving breaking in my new camera, and excited to see where we go next year!

Infant Photography – Warren

The last few months  I’ve been really lucky to get to see my nieces and nephew who live far away. Naturally, I take way too many photos of them and I just wanted to share a few from our little photoshoot with Warren. I’m realizing how much I love natural light portraits, and babies are especially fun to practice on. My goal this summer is to make more time to shoot photos, so expect more to come!

This cute little nugget is Warren and he is 10 months old 🙂

Yellowstone Adventures

This summer we went camping in Yellowstone and believe it or not it was beyond freezing the whole trip. Luckily, we had great company with some of our closest friends and we survived some incredible hikes encountering bison and discovering Yellowstone’s grand canyon. It was absolutely beautiful at this time of year and I’m so glad we got to go on our last minute camping trip!

(Sorry for the millions of photos, I’ve been playing catch up)

Grand Canyon + Flagstaff + Southern UT

After many months I have finally gotten back to my editing and enjoyed going through these photos! The Grand Canyon is such a beautiful place yet it looked so unreal – like a fake backdrop. So this photo diary is my best attempt at trying to portray just how beautiful it is in person. We started the day on a train ride that went through 90 miles of barren lands and forests to get us to the ridge. Following that day we explored Flagstaff and then made our way back through Southern Utah.

Travel, Portraits, and Pup’s 1st Birthday

I haven’t posted any photos in a while since things have been so busy. So I wanted to post 3 different collections of photos that I have been able to capture in the last month.

The first collection is from when I was able to go visit my sweet grandma in Seattle. I loved being there and I wanted to capture moments with her as well as some of the beautiful Washington scenery.

For this second collection of photos I was able to take some portraits for a very special person known as – Will da Beast. haha. He has been a great friend of my brother’s and pretty much all my family for the past few years. Just last month he made the decision to be baptized and become a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. We are so proud of Will and he’s truly an amazing person and is an example to all of us.DSC_0414

Christmas Portrait Shoot

I’m excited to share my work today! I recently was invited to join a photographer’s group in the Salt Lake area. We meet up occasionally and have access to some amazing studios and locations with all types of lighting and equipment available. I was thrilled to go for my first time! This shoot was meant for purely Christmas themed shots, however, I have been trying to sharpen my skills on shooting portraits because it is something I’m very interested in. Long story short, these images were some I’m most proud of in my photography journey so far and they were taken at this past Christmas shoot. It was such a thrilling experience for me to just have all control and let my creativity run the camera. Of course I must also give credit to the models, it truly makes for some great photographs!

Side note: One of the models came in Gatsby attire so I just went with it!

Something a great photographer once told me: “You can buy all the most expensive equipment out there and take just okay shots, or you can learn everything there is to know about the science of photography and how to work what you already have and still take some incredible photographs.”

Candace and Adam

We had a fun Thanksgiving weekend and got to have our friends stay with us for a few days! Naturally, I wanted to take some photos of them and they were nice enough to let me. 🙂 They are newlyweds still so that’s reason enough! Hope you like!

Tis’ The Season! (almost)

So today I decided I have quite a lot of images that I love and I haven’t shared any of them yet. So here is a slightly jumbled collection of some recent happenings that I captured. 🙂 I apologize for all the photos of Harley, but he is the only model I have at the moment and he follows me everywhere. 🙂

Can I just say how grateful I am for Parker? This semester has been and probably will be the hardest of his life with 14-hour days of working at the hospital and school. He is killing it though, and I am so proud of him. 🙂

Oh and yes, we got our Christmas Tree up 2 weeks before Thanksgiving…oops!DSC_0179 DSC_0201 DSC_0216DSC_0136  DSC_0444DSC_0018DSC_0035DSC_0120   DSC_0075DSC_0237 DSC_0353 DSC_0369 DSC_0389

Lashbrook Ring Shoot 2

So this weekend I decided I wanted to build up my library of images at work to share on all our social media platforms. Lucky for me, I get to take home the nice company camera and play around with it! Here are some of my favorite shots of our newer styles of ring designs.
